CULTURE CHECK 2021

2021 We seen a bit of normalcy come back and we were “outside” and artist were able to tour and operate how they once did. It was a great year to see some of our favorite artist drop music and be able to perform them for the masses. We saw the Top Tier artist comeback into the spotlight stake their claim as one of the best like J.Cole, Drake, and Kanye drop projects for their dedicated fanbases. As always new hip-hop artist seem to pop up every other month with yearly anthems like Pooh Shiesty with “Back in Blood” and SpotemGottem with “BeatBox” that had crowds moving all year. R&B seen alot of newcomers step into the spotlight like Tems, Joyce Wrice, and Tone Stith delivered. We even saw a unique combo between Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak. “Silk Sonic” which gave us a blast from the past of the 70’s meets this millennium’s sound. Overall the Ladies continue to hold it down in R&B as we saw Jasmine Sullivan comeback onto the scene running and Summer Walker deliver a great album for the women. As we always do here’s our accolades for the past year 2021 highlighting the best songs, albums, new artist, and artist of the year.
